I used PSP X 6 to write this tutorial

Plugins used:  AP Lines

Pool Shadow

#1. Open Paper 8.jpg first.. Shift + D to duplicate it first.. close the original.

The copy is now your working image.

.

Right click on the bkg layer and promote background layer.

#2. Select/ select all/ Float/De-float

go to selections/modify/ contract  38 pixels

CUT

Your image should look like below Your making a frame :)

#3. Select none.  Resize all layers 75%  go to Image/canvas size  900 x 900 Center justify.

#4. Open paper 11.jpg ( turquoise with butterflies) copy and paste it over to your working image below the frame layer..

apply the WSL_Mask133 to the paper...Merge/ Merge group...

Then open paper30.jpg (brown stripe) copy and paste it over to your working image below the frame and

apply the same mask with same settings to that paper. Resize the brown striped paper 90%

It will be on top of the turquoise paper.. like below

#5.Open paper 11.jpg (turquoise) again  Copy and paste it to below the frame layer.. use the deformation tool to pull

in the corners to the edges of the frame where it wont show outside of the frame..

#6. Duplicate the paper 11.jpg paper layer... like it shows on the layer palette below

#7.On the duplicated paper layer.. apply the plugin AP Lines with these settings

Your image should look like below

#8. Set this layers option at Multiply

#9. On the same duplicated paper layer you just put the AP lines on....  use Plugin filter factory A/ Pool shadow with these settings below

The image should look like below

#10.  Open the tube you're going to use... if you use the same as myself... resize 90%

place it on the left side of frame... Softly erase the bottom of the tube so it won't be so flat on the bottom.

Put your 3D drop shadow on the tube.. have it checked to put the shadow on it's own layer.. erase the bottom of the shadow

so that its not so black.

#11. Add a new layer have it on the bottom of the layer palette.. fill with white.

#12. Open element 56.png  ( blue flowers wreath) Apply drop shadow on it.. V & H 3 ,  63 Opacity, 9 blur ,Black

Open element 34.png (with date) resize 60% Copy and paste over to your working image  Use same shadow setting.. V & H 3, Opacity 63, Blur 9, Black

Open element 106.png (air balloon).. resize 80% Copy and paste over to your working image.

Sharpen couple times... Move the balloon to the top of the layer palette.

Open element 72.png (Gold Bow) resize 40% copy and paste on top of Balloon layer.

Open element 21.png (Gold Rose) resize 20% copy and paste it over to your working image.. duplicate the rose layer

and resize the duplicated one 75%

Open element 63.png (pin with dangles) resize 65%.  copy and paste it over to your working image.. move it's layer below element 56.png

(in other words below all the other layers you've just  added from step #12.

#13. Highlight the top layer on the layer palette.. and Open element  44.png (butterfly clock)

Resize 45% copy and paste it over to your working mage... Use the deformation tool to turn it to the right some.

Apply the same drop shadow as everything else but drop the opacity to 40%

Make sure none of the elements go off the page on the right side..

move the steampunk girl tube over to the left as far as you can with out her getting to close to the edge

You will see why we do this.. when we start to put the animations on the tag...there needs to be room in the frame.

#14. Open the text file ' Steam it Up... that's in the supplies zip and copy and paste it over to your working image.. have it's layer on

top of layer palette. Below you can see how I merged the layers.. all the layers from the frame on up.. are merged.. that's the top merged layers

Below I merged all the bottom layers.

You end up with 2 layers on the layer palette.

#15. Time to resize the whole image.. I resized 88%  then sharpened the top merged layer once

Hide the top merged layers... just have the bottom ones showing.. Right click on the top of the window and

COPY MERGED..

Open your animation shop and right click on it's desktop and paste as a new animation

Open all the animations.. that came in the supplies zip.  There are 3 of them

They all have 34 frames.. Duplicate the one frame , new animation from PSP till you have 34 frames.

That's clicking the duplication button 6 times that will give you 33 frames click the last frame.. and click the duplication button once.. that

will give you the 34 frames you need.

Ctrl + A to select all the frames in each of the animations.

We're going to put the swinging lights on your new animation first..

#16. We do this like always... Click , hold and drag F: 1 of the lights over to F: 1 of the new animation.

don't let go of the mouse button till you get the lights placed where they need to be

#17.  Now for the 2nd animation.. gears...Click hold and drag F: 1 of the gears over to F: 1 of your working animation.

Placement is important so might have to undo and such till you get it all lined up.

#18. Now for the  clock face animation...  Drag F: 1 of the clocks over to F: 1 of your working animation.

#19.  Back over in PSP... hide the bottom layer and un hide the top merged layers. Right click on the image top

Don't forget the copyright info for the tube.

COPY MERGED

Over in Animation shop right click somewhere on the desktop and paste as a new animation.

#20.  Duplicate the one frame of the top layers till you have 34 frames...

Like all the other times... Click, hold and drag F: 1 of the top layers over to F: 1 of your working animation.

Be sure and line up the top layers where none of it goes off the edges , make sure you pay close

attention to the bottom of the frame area... where you don't put the top layer too low.

.

#21. Check your animation if all looks well... Save as a GIF

Settings on optimization of GIF

the Partial Transparency Tab isn't  there when the thing your trying to save isn't on a transparency... so to set it..

you have to have a tube...that's transparent... Use these settings below.. don't matter about the other tabs RIGHT NOW..

#22. ok now... on your new animation from this tutorial.. click the SAVE AS ...as you see

below the Partial Transparency tab is not there.. that's ok... when you saved the tube a min ago... it will keep those setting

for the partial transparency tab...On the colors tab below make sure its set to 255 colors.. See that's the PITS...until someone makes an animation

program that saves a GIF with 16 million colors like a .jpg is.. it will limit our GIF animations with only the 255 colors.. which screws with lighter colors like

flesh.  Grrrr lol  On all my animations... I check either Optimized Octree OR Optimized Median Cut.. I will try both of them saving my GIF and the best

one I use... it will be different for each animation you do... cause of the different colors in the animation.

Once you get the saving of your GIF.. then you're done!!!!

Toodles till the next one :)
