Supplies  (animation and mask)

This tutorial was written using PSP X 6

June 27, 2016


#1. Open Paper_14.jpg   Shift + D to duplicate the image.. close the original

The copy is your working image now.

Right click on the paper's layer on the layer palette and promote to background layers

Apply the mask  that you saved from the supplies zip using these settings below.

#2. Merge/ merge group.   go to image/ canvas size/  900 x 900 center justify.

#3.  Open element Frame_8a.png (round red frame) resize 80%.. copy and paste it over to your working image.

#4. Open the CircleFrame.png ( red and blue scalloped frame )  copy and paste it below the round solid red

#5. Open Paper_3.jpg (stripes)  copy and paste it over to your working image..

Use your deformation tool to pull in the corners of the papers.. to make it a lil larger than the inside of the round red frame.

#6. Use your magic wand tool and click on the inside of the red round frame.  Tool settings below.

Go to selections/ modify/ expand  10 pixels  INVERT and  delete on the paper's layer.


#7. Settings below for 3D drop shadow on Red frame.  Select none when shadow applied.

#8.  Below I centered all the layers... duplicated and mirrored the mask layer

where everything showed around the round frame.. make it all evenly distributed around the frame.

#9. Hide the red round frame.  Use your magic wand and select all the scallops of the frame

#10. Go to  Effects/ Texture effects/ Blinds, use the settings below.

11. Unhide the round red frame.

Open element spray_14.png (stars) apply a 3D drop shadow on the stars using the dk blue #305289 for shadow color

#12.  Open the tube you're going to use.. resize her (if you use same one as myself..43%mm

duplicate the tube.. put one of the tubes below the red frame and the other one on top of frame.. erase the bottom of the tube that is on top of the frame. Also erase the biggest flower at top left on BOTH layers of the tubes.

So that it looks like she is below the frame on bottom and her head is on top of the frame.

Add a new layer to the bottom of the layer palette and fill with with white.

#13.  Open element 133a. png ( red center daisy) resize 50%  Open element 133b.png (blue center daisy) resize50%

Open element 150a.png (blue leaves)  resize 45%

Open element 150 b.png (red leaves) resize 45%

Open element 24a.png (blue fireworks spray)

Open element 24 b.png (red fireworks spray)  Copy and paste both to your working image.

#14. Open element _103.png (song book) resize 80%  copy and paste it over to image

below the top tube layer.. using the deformation tool to turn it some

to the right. SHARPEN once might have to twice.. you want to be able to see the words of the song.. the heading

#15. Open element Spray_16.png  duplicate  move the elements in different positions.

Open element  USA.png resize 50%

Don't forget your copyright info for your tube.. :)

#16. This above is how it all looks now that I tweaked some of the layers.. which you can do too

Below is my layers how I merged them at the end... All the top layers I merged visible.

the mask layer is on a layer all to it's self.

White background layer on bottom.

Duplicate the mask layer 2 times so you will end up with 3 of the mask layers.

#17. Apply the Eyecandy Textures/Texture Noise to each of the mask layers... clicking RANDOM SEED the 2nd and 3rd times.


#18. Then on EACH of the 3 mask layers apply CURVES on them to darken them

#19.  Now open your animation shop.. and the mng animation that was in your supplies zip.( Notice it has 21 frames )

 in PSP have the 2nd and 3rd mask layers hidden... have all other layers showing.

Right click on  top of image and COPY MERGED

 over in animation shop you right click on the desk top and paste as a new animation.

Back to PSP hide the top mask layer and UN hide the middle Mask layer.

Right click on top of image and COPY MERGED..

OVER TO animation shop you paste behind current frame

Back to PSP you hide the middle mask layer  (and top one) and UN hide the the bottom mask layer... have all the other layers showing


OVER in animation shop you paste behind current frame  . You should have 3   frames to your new animation.. check it to see if it looks ok.... if it is  Ctrl + A to select all the frames..

Duplicate the 3 frames new animation by clicking the duplicate frames button till you have 21 frames to your new animation..

Ctrl + A to select all the frames... Both animations there will be selected..

Click , hold and drag F: 1 of the mng animation to F: 1 of your new working animation.. let go of mouse when you have it exactly the way you want it.

Check your animation... if all looks good  Save as a GIF...
